A weekday
At first light you line up for beef soup, raw slices cooked by the ladle of boiling broth, with minced pork rice on the side. You scooter to work past three temples. Lunch is milkfish congee or steamed rice cake for a few dollars, and after work you nurse a drink in an old house bar on Shennong Street.
- 02
The weekend
Eat shrimp rolls on Anping Old Street, climb Fort Zeelandia, built by the Dutch in the 1600s, for sunset, then hit Garden Night Market. Sunday you sleep in and browse the little shops around Zhengxing Street. In winter, drive to Qigu for the salt mountain and the rare black-faced spoonbills.
- 03
How you make friends
Tainan people are warm and opinionated, and vendors will tell you exactly how their dish must be eaten. By week two, the grandma down the lane is asking whether you've eaten yet. Friends grow slowly out of the market, community college classes and the shaved ice shop on your corner. For someone who needs people as much as you do, this matters more than rent.
- 04
The moment you know this is the place
An afternoon storm has just passed, incense drifts from the temple courtyard, water drips off old wooden shutters, and someone's radio plays an old love song.
- 05
Costs to know first
Expect a long, brutal summer where the midday sun keeps everyone indoors. Public transit is thin, so no scooter means no life. Good jobs are scarce outside the science park, and on long weekends tourists turn every famous stall into an hour-long wait.

Common questions
What can I see without paying?
As soon as you finish, your result, key numbers and first chart are free, along with a list of every section in the full report. Decide after that.
Do I need an account?
No. Just answer and see your result; it's saved on this device first. To see it on another phone or computer, sign in and confirm moving it to your account.
How do I pay?
Checkout is handled by Waffo. Most visitors pay in US dollars; visitors in Japan pay in yen, Hong Kong in HK dollars, the eurozone in euros and the UK in pounds. Online payment isn't available in mainland China; exclusive quizzes there can be unlocked with a redeem code. The smallest top-up gives at least 30 points, enough for 3+ reports. Each payment is one-time; nothing renews automatically.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Within 14 days of purchase you can cancel, no reason needed, for a full refund; that purchase’s points are deducted and reports unlocked with them are no longer available in full. Duplicate charges and reports that fail to unlock are sorted out even after that. See the refund policy for details.
Can I take it again?
Yes. Once you've unlocked a quiz on this device or account, retaking it and rereading the report cost nothing extra.
How accurate is it?
Your result reflects how you answered this time. It's a good way to learn about yourself and start a conversation with friends. It's for fun and self-reflection, not a psychological or medical diagnosis; if you're struggling, please talk to a professional.
